Meet Errol Burn CA, CPP

Managing Director

Errol Burn

Errol joined Lynch & Associates Limited in 2018 before his appointment as a Director in 2019, and more recently, as Managing Director in November 2021.

Errol holds responsibility for the overall management of the Practice, our People and Clients, ensuring all our services are delivered with care and high quality.
 
Errol commenced his professional career working with Deloitte and Ernst & Young before moving into industry. Prior to joining Lynch & Associates Limited, Errol worked for many years as Chief Financial Officer for a major Not-for-Profit (NFP) organisation. He is particularly passionate about the NFP and Social Impact space, and draws upon his extensive experience in this sector, in working closely with NFP and charitable organisations.

Errol Burn is a fully qualified CA with Chartered Accountants of Australia and NZ (CAANZ) and holds a Certificate of Public Practice. He is a Qualified Auditor approved by the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants. Errol leads the Audit and Assurance service line at Lynch & Associates.

Errol is the Chairperson of the CAANZ Not-for-Profit Special Interest Group for the Auckland Region.

His over 30 years’ experience across a wide range of industries with listed and private companies, and not-for-profit organisations both in New Zealand and the United Kingdom, combined with his proven ability at identifying opportunities, building strong partnerships, and leading initiatives, will build on Lynch & Associates past success.

Errol is focused on adding value to all clients and building strong professional relationships which are underpinned by our core values at Lynch & Associates Limited, where we believe strongly in helping our clients achieve their personal and business goals.

Errol is married to Teresa with one adult son who has recently returned to NZ after time away in Canada. Both Errol, and his son Joseph, share common passions of travelling and sport. Errol has a particular love for the outdoors whether that is tramping, walking, cycling, kayaking or swimming and enjoys nothing more than travelling and relaxing with family or friends around New Zealand.
